Apple has recently announced an official $99 MagSafe iPhone 12 battery pack

For its iPhone 12 series, Apple has debuted the MagSafe Battery Pack. One of the magnetic batteries costs $99, so you can get one from the Apple website right now. For me, the site shows delivery from 22 July to 26 July.

Apple has sold iPhone battery cases in the past, but the new pack links 12 phones with inbuilt magnets to the iPhone. And it’s going to work with all four of the iPhone 12’s – the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. While the iPhone 11 has a physical camera shortcut, because it’s just a fitting bag, it doesn’t come with any other functions and gives you more charge to your phone.

Apple states it charges up to 5W, meaning that the new pack will not charge your phone the fastest way. On a support page, Apple also says the battery needs iOS 14.7—a software upgrade that has not yet been released. As the website of Apple shows power pack delivery times for the first time on 22 July, it suggests that the update will soon support it.

Apple also provides a wallet that can fit on your phone magnetically as well as a wireless MagSafe loader.
